Bensalem Students Compete In DECA District Competition, Advace To States
Congrats to the 28 students who competed and the nine who advanced!

A group of Bensalem High School students recently participated in DECA’s district event, with nearly 10 students moving on to the state competition.
According to the district, 28 students competed in the event and nine advanced to the state competition in Hershey in February.
The following students advanced to the state competition: Amy Ma, Parmita Patel, Neel Patel, Nihar Talati, Harish Patel, Kishan Patel, Roohid Parast, Emily Trinh, and Sunayana Shrivastava.

Trinh and Shrivastava finished third overall, while Ma and Parast finished second overall in their individual events and Harish Patel finished first overall, the district said.
DECA is an organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers and education in marketing, finance, hospitality, management and other business areas. The students competed against 10 other schools that include Friends Central School, The Haverford School, The Shipley School, Upper Merion and others.
