Bensalem Warehouse Used In Multimillion Dollar PA Drug Trafficking Ring: AG

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A Bensalem warehouse was used to distribute high-potency THC products that led to charges against 12 people Monday in a multi-million-dollar drug ring, authorities said.

State Attorney General Dave Sunday said the suspects in the drug trafficking ring also laundered millions of dollars connected to the illegal profits.

Investigators traced about $18.7 million in illegal proceeds that primarily used corporate fronts to mask sources of income, often cash deposits, said Sunday, who announced the charges at a news conference Monday near Pittsburgh.

During the investigation, authorities seized about 150,000 items from three warehouse locations that served as the primary distribution hubs — in Bensalem, and Plum Borough, Allegheny County, and Pittston in Luzerne County.

The Bristol Township Police Department also assisted in the investigation.

The products were transferred from the warehouses to convenience stores and smoke shops across the state, authorities said.

The suspects have been arraigned on the charges, which include corrupt organizations and dealing in proceeds of illegal activity. Many are also charged with felony drug-trafficking offenses.

Among those charged are: Albina Kumar, Duttkumar Patel, Madhav Patel, Nirav Patel, Palak Patel, Divyesh Patel, Ketankumar Patel, Mitul Patel, Niravkumar Vora, Ankitkumar Patel, Dharmeshkumar Patel, and Roshniben Patel.
