Bob Evans Restaurant Closes In Bensalem
The family-style restaurant closed Sunday at its Bristol Pike location, ending its presence in the Philadelphia region.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Bob Evans family-style restaurant has closed its doors, ending the eatery's presence in the Philadelphia region.
The chain known for its breakfasts is now listed on Google searches as permanently closed and its website promoting its location at 1369 Bristol Pike across from the Woodhaven Mall can no longer be found.
Residents of the Bensalem Proud Facebook community page responded to the closure with mixed reactions in a post on Sunday.

"I was just there for breakfast with my mom," one commenter posted.
"We went there to have dinner last week, I think it was Thursday or Friday. It was locked and there were people in the back loading equipment onto a truck," Pat Ridgeway told Patch.

While some loved the sausage gravy and biscuits and other breakfast options, others suggested that the business may have closed due to the food falling out of favor with customers.
Meanwhile, others suggested that the reason was due to a rent issue with the restaurant's landlord.
Bob Evans Restaurants is a chain of family-style restaurants founded and headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. It owns and operates nearly 500 locations in 18 states, primarily in the Midwest, mid-Atlantic, and Southeast regions of the United States.
Bob Evans has a location in Oaks and another in Lancaster. There's also a Bob Evans in Mount Laurel, N.J., and several in Delaware.
Bob Evans offered customers farmfest feasts, farm fresh protein bowls, fish frys, steaks, and burgers, among other menu options.
Starting from humble beginnings as a 4-stool, 6-table diner in Ohio, Bob Evans took a beloved sausage recipe and grew it into a beloved midwestern restaurant, its website stated.
Bob Evans sausage and other products are available in most supermarkets.
