​Brownsville Road To Close Aug. 7 For PECO Tree Removal Work

Brownsville Road between Philadelphia Avenue and Central Avenue in Bensalem and Lower Southampton townships will close Tuesday, August 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for PECO tree removal operations, PennDOT announced Friday.

During the closure Brownsville Road motorists will be detoured over Old Street Road, Route 132 (Street Road), Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike) and Bristol Road.

The closure had been planned for a day in late July but was postponed due to the contractor's schedule.

Local access will be maintained up to construction zone. Drivers should allow extra time when traveling near the work area.

The schedule is weather dependent.
