Bucks Residents Can Get Free Opiate-Overdose Antidotes Dec. 7

The Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol wants to help you save a life by giving free Narcan.

Bucks County Residents can get a free life-saving dose of Narcan next week at Lower Bucks Hospital thanks tot he Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission.

From 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7 in the auditorium at Lower Bucks Hospital, 501 Bath Road, Bristol, county residents can get the opiate-overdose antidote, as well as learn how to administer the drug, learn signs of overdoses, and learn about community drug and alcohol resources.

Narcan is a drug that reverses the effect of opiates on a person who has overdosed or is suspected of overdosing on drugs such as Oxycontin, heroin, Fentanyl, and other opiate drugs. Narcan is administered through a nasal spray.
