Livengrin makes sustainable recovery possible to those suffering from addiction, through professional, accessible, and successful treatment options. Since its founding in 1966, they have provided help, hope, and healing to more than 130,000 individuals who suffer from this disease, and to the families who love them. Primarily serving Philadelphia and the surrounding counties, they provide men and women with a continuum of care including sub-acute medical detox, residential and outpatient treatment, family services, 12-Step meetings, free community education seminars, and alumni services. They have also developed specialty track programs to meet the unique needs of young adults (18-25), nurses, and first responders/veterans. As a mission-based nonprofit, they provide charity care for approximately 20% of patients whose insurance coverage or other financial resources cannot cover the full cost of treatment.
