BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Relief is on the way for residents of the township's Eddington section who have been plagued with stormwater issues for several decades.

Construction staging started on the grounds of the Bensalem Township Country Club, running parallel to Hulmeville Road, about two weeks ago, officials said.

Township officials said they've been committed to correcting the poor drainage and flooding issues in the Eddington community.
Stormwater will now flow to newly installed storm (not sewer) inlets/drains, officials said.

Bensalem officials said the work will alleviate the long-standing issues that have occurred in the area for decades.
The improvement project was awarded to J.D. Morrissey for $600,000. The project is expected to be completed at the end of the month, weather permitting.
