Delays, Stoppages Expected On Turnpike In Bensalem This Weekend
Work will start late Friday night at the Bensalem toll plaza on the turnpike, transportation officials said.
BENSALEM, PA — Delays and stoppages are possible on the PA turnpike in Bensalem this weekend, as crews do construction work at the toll plaza.
Motorists on I-276, as well as those on U.S. 1 approaching the turnpike's Bensalem interchange, are warned to allow extra time when traveling in the area, according to the Pennsylvania Turpike Commission.
From 10 p.m. on Friday, April 26, to 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 28, there will be lane closures as crews do concrete replacement work at the toll plaza.

Heavy traffic and delays are expected, particularly Saturday between 10 a.m.-6 p.m., the commission said.
Motorists are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly.

Pennsylvania State Police and Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted area to assist drivers. Changeable message signs also will provide information on traffic stoppages or delays. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
