Dress down day at credit union raises $750 for Operation Backpack
Credit union raises funds to support Operation Backpack

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — Employees at TruMark Financial® Credit Union were permitted to wear jeans on Fridays in January in exchange for a donation to Operation Backpack, raising $750. Dress down days are a component of the credit union’s community outreach program which supports charitable organizations in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Operation Backpack provides food to students in our community who would otherwise go without over the weekend. Qualifying students pick up their backpacks on Friday and return them on Monday morning to ensure they have nutritious food to eat over the weekend. The organization works with the Pottstown, Pottsgrove, Boyertown, and Springford area school districts to help homeless and hungry students succeed by addressing the issue of childhood hunger.
