Bensalem Man Charged For Striking, Killing Pedestrian

Philadelphia Police have charged Christopher Sorensen of Bensalem for a July 17 crash in which his car struck and killed a pedestrian.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A 41-year-old township man has been charged in a fatal crash on July 17 in Philadelphia, police said.

Christopher Sorensen, of Bensalem Township, was arrested Wednesday afternoon on the 600 block of East Indiana Avenue. for his involvement in the death of Christopher Cabrera, the Philadelphia Police Department said.

Around 7:04 p.m. July 17, police responded to an auto vs. pedestrian crash in the 24th District at Frankford and Allegheny resulting in a fatality.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Unit #1 a black 2012 Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound on 2000 Allegheny and struck Cabrera, who was standing on the sidewalk on the southeast corner.

Cabrera was pronounced dead as Cabrera, a 38-year-old from 29XX Kensington Avenue.
