Fatal House Fire Under Investigation In Bensalem

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Authorities are investigating a fatal house fire in the township's Andalusia section on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bensalem Township Police and Fire Departments responded to the house fire at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities said the fire claimed the life of a resident, but did not reveal the name, age, or gender.

Police said that additional information, including the victim’s identification, will be provided at a later date.

"Our thoughts are with the victim’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time," authorities said in a statement.

Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire and prevent further damage. Authorities did not state where the fire took place.

The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by Bensalem Fire Investigators and Bensalem Police Detectives.
