Fire At Bensalem Trailer Park Under Investigation

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A fire at the Top of the Ridge Trailer Park is under investigation, authorities said.

Fire crews responded to the Top of the Ridge Trailer Park in the 1400 block of Gibson Road Sunday morning for a report of a mobile home on fire, Bensalem Township Fire Rescue said.

The Newport Fire Department arrived on the scene and discovered fire coming from the trailer.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly but the trailer sustained substantial damage, fire officials said.

The trailer's occupant was taken to a local hospital by Bensalem EMS for observation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by fire investigators with Bensalem Township Fire Rescue and the Red Cross is assisting the occupant.
