First Deputy Chief Named For Consolidated Bensalem Fire Departments
Nottingham Fire Department Chief Ron Harris will fill the role. He is the longest-tenured fire chief in the township.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The township had already named a fire chief to lead its consolidated fire departments. Now it has a deputy chief.
Nottingham Fire Department Chief Ron Harris was officially named the Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department Deputy Chief.
Harris has served as Nottingham's chief since 1998, making him the most tenured fire chief in the township.

"Today he makes history as the 1st Deputy Chief of the consolidated Bensalem Fire Departments," the fire department said. "Congratulations Chief we look forward to what the future holds."
Harris also received congratulations from other township fire companies.

"The Eddington Fire Company would like to congratulate Ron, wish him luck in his new role, and will support him in any possible way we can," the fire department said.
Harris will serve as second in command to Mark Antozzeski, who was hired as the township's first career fire chief in February.
Antozzeski oversees eight full-time and four part-time career firefighters and 160 volunteer firefighters. He reports to Public Safety Director William McVey.
Antozzeski previously served in the same role in Middletown Township for a year.
The township's consolidated fire companies include the Eddington Fire Company, the Cornwells Fire Company, Nottingham Fire Company, Newport Fire Company, Union Fire Company, and the Trevose Fire Company.
