Flu vaccinations now available at GIANT pharmacies

To help customers stay healthy this flu season, vaccinations are now available at all GIANT Food Stores in-store pharmacies. Flu vaccinations are administered by GIANT in-store pharmacists, with no appointment needed.

“Flu shots are reformulated every year so you need to be vaccinated every year to help combat the flu virus,” said Leigh Shirley, director of pharmacy operations, GIANT. “It’s not too early to get your flu shot so stop into any one of GIANT’S in-store pharmacies.”

Most insurance plans cover flu shots at $0 copays and GIANT pharmacies bill them directly, including Medicare. Standard flu shots for both adults and children are available, as well as other flu vaccinations, including the “quad” and high dose vaccines. In addition to receiving their flu shots, all customers will be offered free vaccination reviews. With a few simple questions, GIANT pharmacists are able to determine if you are missing any recommended adult vaccinations.
