Former Holy Ghost Prep Student Awaits Extradition For Threat

Bensalem Police said Christian DeFlorio was taken into custody in Miami Monday. He is charged with terroristic threats against the school.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The former student accused of posting a threatening video on Instagram about Holy Ghost Preparatory School is in custody, police said.

The Bensalem Township Police Department reported that Christian DeFlorio, 30, a former student at Holy Ghost Prep., was taken into custody by the Miami-Dade (Fla.) Police Department Monday night.

Bensalem Police had a warrant out for DeFlorio's arrest.

Last Tuesday, police received an anonymous tip that someone had posted a threatening video on Instagram directed toward the Holy Ghost Preparatory School.

Police notified Holy Ghost administrators of the threat and the school was placed on temporary lockdown.

Police said at the time that DeFlorio was in Miami and not a direct threat to students.

An arrest warrant was obtained for DeFlorio, charging him with terroristic threats and related charges.

Bensalem Police said Monday that DeFlorio was remanded to prison in Florida.

Police will begin the extradition process to bring him back to Bucks County to face charges.
