Founding Fathers Kicks Off Grand Opening Weekend In Bensalem Township

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —With the Philadelphia Eagles playing in the NFC Championship Game Sunday, township residents and sports fans now have another place to watch the game.

Founding Fathers Sports Bar & Grill is holding its grand opening this weekend after being open for a few months, owner Kenneth Hutchings said. The sports bar is located at 2900 Street Rd.

Hutchings said he's a partner with David Chiavaroli, who has lived in Bensalem since 1999.

"Grand Opening" festivities will start Friday night with the Bob Pantano Dance Party at 6 p.m. The dance party returns on Feb. 3.

The restaurant offers nightly specials and will soon launch a Family Steak Night, where kids eat free.

Customers can get 75¢ wings on Thursdays and game-day specials. The business also features happy hours and will have live music in the near future, Hutchings said.

The restaurant bills itself as being known for "great food, drink, and hospitality in a family-friendly atmosphere."

Food includes elevated pub fare with a menu comprised of artfully-crafted burgers and sandwiches, premium steaks and seafood, and shareable appetizers.

The drink menu features local craft beer, creative cocktails, and a wine list.

The Franklin Room is a private event space for up to 200 guests.
