Gas Leak Causes Road Closure In Bensalem Township
Bensalem Township police had warned motorists to avoid the intersection of Bristol and Bensalem Boulevard due to natural gas leak Tuesday.

Update - 2:15 p.m. Tuesday
BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The gas leak that plagued the township Tuesday morning has been repaired.
Bensalem Fire Rescue reported on its Facebook page that that the gas leak was secured by PECO crews around 1:10 pm and the roads have been reopened. Fire Rescue said all evacuated persons could return to their homes.

Bensalem Police, Fire and EMS are on the scene of a natural gas leak that shut down the roadway around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Police ask that motorists comply with officers and firefighters. Also police may ask residents in the area to evacuate for safety purposes.
Action News 6 had a chopper overhead.
Bensalem fire officials said the leak is in a high-pressure gas line. There was no report provided about what caused the leak, Action News reported.
Police ask to avoid the area until further notice until the situation is under control and police would provide updates when it is safe.
