Gerber Recalls Organic Baby Food Pouches Distributed In Pa.

Gerber has recalled some organic pouch baby foods because a packaging default could result in spoilage. Giant had some of the recalled products on its shelves.
The following products are included in the recall:
- GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches -Pears Carrots & Peas, 3.5 oz. pouch, UPC 15000074319; Batch 51945335XX with a best by date of July 12, 2016 and Batch 51955335XX with a best by date of July 13, 2016
- GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches- Carrots, Apples & Mangoes, 3.5 oz. pouch, UPC 15000074395; Batch 51955335XX with a best by date of July 13, 2016 and Batch 51965335XX with a best by date of July 14, 2016
Customers who have purchased these products should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a refund.

"Consumers may notice that, in some cases, the pouches are bloated and product inside may have an off taste or odor. There have been three consumer reports of temporary gastrointestinal symptoms, however, we have been unable to confirm that these are related to the product," the FDA said in a recall announcement.
