Hazmat Examines Suspicious Package In Bensalem

Bensalem Police said the package containing an unknown substance was reported at a home in Bucks County Estates Tuesday.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A suspicious package found at a home in Bucks County Estates Tuesday night has been deemed safe, authorities said.

The Bensalem Police Department and fire companies along with Bensalem EMS responded to the 800 block of Jordan Drive in regards to a suspicious package containing an unknown substance.

The Bucks County Hazmat unit also responded and determined no hazardous materials were inside the package, police said.

Police said there was no danger to the community. Emergency crews were clearing the area after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Police did not state what was found in the package or whether its discovery was under investigation.
