Heat Wave Kills Two In Philadelphia; Excessive Temperatures To Continue Sunday
An excessive heat warning remains in place through 9 p.m. Sunday. It could feel as hot as 108. Two people died Saturday due to the heat.

Two people in Philadelphia have been reported dead as a result of extreme heat. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the victims of the heat-related deaths are two women, one 67 and the other 82. Their identities were not released, but the report said both women suffered from cardiovascular disease and died Saturday.
Dangerously high temperatures will continue Sunday. An excessive heat warning is in place across the region through 9 p.m. Sunday. With the heat index, it could feel as hot as 108 on Sunday.
The afternoon and early evening will be the hottest part of the day. Some thunderstorms could approach the region, bringing some relief Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

"This multiple day excessive heat event has increased the risk for heat-related health issues, especially for the elderly and for those with chronic health problems such as lung and heart disease," the excessive heat warning says.
Highs in the 90s linger through the week, with 80s predicted on Saturday.
