Hilton Hotel Proposed In Bensalem
A Hilton would replace an existing hotel on Old Lincoln Highway. The plan goes before the zoning hearing board on Thursday.
BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bensalem Township Zoning Hearing Board will hear plans for a Hilton Hotel to replace an existing lodge on Old Lincoln Highway.
The zoning hearing board meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday in the Council Chambers of the Bensalem Township Municipal Building at 2400 Byberry Rd.
Purvi LLC of Langhorne is listing on the board's agenda for a continuation of its hearing to request setbacks, lot size, parking, and use variance to permit the reconstruction of a Hilton Hotel and Quick Service Restaurant to replace the existing hotel on the property.

The Lincoln Hotel currently sits on the property at 2277 Old Lincoln Highway.
According to plans filed with the zoning hearing board, the proposed use for the 4.63-acre property calls for a restaurant with a drive-thru, a five-story Hilton Hotel, and 197 parking spaces.

It would replace the current hotel and an auto sales business on the property, the application states.
The applicant said the township would benefit from the higher-end hotel and that its addition would not harm the surrounding areas.
The developer is being represented by Attorney Mike Meginniss.
