Interstate 95 Crash Under Investigation By State Police

Fire officials said a vehicle carrying five people went off the roadway and down an embankment at the Neshaminy Creek Bridge.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a crash on Interstate 95 early Sunday morning in which a vehicle went off the highway.

The Third District Volunteer Fire Company Station 14 Engine 14 responded at 3:31 a.m. Sunday to the crash on northbound Interstate 95 at the Neshaminy Creek Bridge.

Fire officials said there was a one-vehicle accident with five people in the car with one entrapped. The vehicle was reported off the road about 50 feet down the embankment.

Engine 14 arrived and was positioned as a traffic blocker. The personnel assisted crews from Rescue 16, Rescue 82, and Engine 28, with a passenger being removed and hoisted back up to the roadway to be transported by the medic units.

The accident is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.
