Kitten Season: Women's Animal Center Seeks Fosters
The Bensalem-based shelter needs "Kitten Foster Volunteers" to help feed and nurture stray and orphaned furry felines.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —It's kitten season.
The Women's Animal Center, the nation's first animal shelter, said that now is a critical time as many litters of stray, abandoned, and orphaned baby kittens —newborn to less than 6 weeks old —are brought to the center at 3839 Richlieu Rd. needing specialized care to survive, thrive, and grow.
The Center is seeking dedicated "Kitten Foster Volunteers" to help with bottle-feeding these shelter kittens and caring for them in their homes until these precious lives are ready to be adopted into loving forever homes.

Women’s Animal Center is also hosting a KITTEN SHOWER on Thursday, April 25.
The public is invited to drop in between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to explore the shelter, learn about the Kitten Foster Program, name a kitten, and enjoy light refreshments.
Donations of kitten supplies accepted at the Kitten Shower and throughout the coming weeks are needed and appreciated: KMR formula, Bottles/Nipples for kitten feeding and Snugglesafe microwavable heating discs which can be found on the Center’s Kitten Shower Wish List.
Monetary donations to help the Center purchase Kitten Foster Kits for volunteers to care for the kittens are also accepted and appreciated. Click here to donate.
Foster Parents are essential for young kittens who are too young, small, and fragile to survive without the attention, support, and compassionate care of dedicated volunteers. By signing up to foster, foster volunteers can ensure enough homes will be ready as kittens arrive to the Women’s Animal Center in the coming weeks and months. The community’s help can make a big difference in these little ones’ lives.
