Lane closures are planned this week on I-95 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships for bridge deck repair, patching and paving operations. The single and double lane closures are scheduled next week in both directions between the Street Road exit and the Newtown-Yardley exit.
The work is part of a $29.6 million project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the roadway.

- May 14 - 18 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.: Double lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Route 132 (Street Road) and Route 413 (Bristol) interchanges.
- May 14 - 18 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.: A single lane closure will be in place on northbound I-95 between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Route 332 (Newtown Yardley) interchanges.
- In addition to the overnight lane closures, a center lane closure will remain in place through late May on northbound I-95 between Street Road and the Neshaminy Creek Bridge.
Drivers should expect "significant" backups and delays, PennDOT said.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is repaving, installing new guide rail, repairing and replacing damaged traffic signs, performing minor bridge deck repairs, and installing rumble strips.
