Lanes To Close On Rockhill Drive In Bensalem
The closures are to start Monday as crews work to prepare for construction on U.S. 1 in the area.
BENSALEM, PA — Eastbound Rockhill Drive in Bensalem will be reduced to a single lane next week as crews do prep work for planned construction there.
The closures will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 10. It will be between Old Lincoln Highway and Neshaminy Boulevard.
According to PennDOT, crews there will be doing soil boring in advance of work to rebuild, widen and improve a 1.5-mile section of U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) from just south of the Rockhill Drive interchange to just north of the U.S. 1 (Penndel) interchange in Bensalem and Middletown.

Construction on this project is expected to start in late 2021.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and slowdowns are expected to occur. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.
