Loaded Pistol Found In Bensalem Traffic Stop: Police
Grant Lyons was charged with weapons violations. He was wearing an empty gun holster when Bensalem Police pulled him over.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A township man has been charged with a weapons violation after police found him wearing an empty gun holster during a traffic stop over the weekend.
Grant Lyons, 42, of River Road, had committed a traffic violation on Bristol Pike in front of the Wawa store Saturday and his white Toyota Camry was pulled over by Bensalem Police.
Police said the vehicle pulled into the Wawa parking lot and the driver exited the vehicle. The officer saw Lyons wearing an empty gun holster on his left hip and ordered him back into the vehicle.

A loaded .40 caliber Stoeger Cougar pistol was found inside the center console of the vehicle during a search along with drugs and drug paraphernalia, police said.
It was discovered that Lyons was not allowed to possess a firearm by law.

He was charged with persons not possessing a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, and related offenses.
Lyons was arraigned by District Justice Jan Vislosky and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $800,000 bail.
