LTCC to present ‘A Night of Laughter’ in April

TREVOSE, PA - Feeling stressed at home? Tired or sick of work?

Here’s your cure: Linconia Tabernacle Christian Center (LTCC) presents “A Night of Laughter: Good for the Soul,” featuring clean jokes and clever wit by Christian comedians Chris Clark and G.L. Douglas.

Known as one of the Kings of Christian Comedy, Clark hails from Bridgeton, N.J. His hysterical comedy skits encompass everything from his strict upbringing in the church to his difficulty performing in front of unattractive people.

According to his website, Clark has appeared on TV One, Word Network, TBN and ABC and received numerous honors, including the 2015 Gospel Image Award for Best Comedian and Church Stars’ 2016 Comedian of the Year award. He is a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Lindenwold, N.J., where he serves under his pastor, Bishop David G. Evans.

Based in the New York tri-state area, Douglas is known as The Girl Next Door and The Good Girl of Comedy. Her outrageous comedy bits include discussing the challenges of being an elementary school teacher nowadays to getting a good pedicure at a nail salon.

According to her website, Douglas has been featured on VH1’s hit reality show Money Hungry, BET’s Coming to the Stage and Showtime at the Apollo. She gives all credit to God for her comedic gift and thanks Him for the ability to make audiences bust out laughing at churches, clubs, and events all over the country.

The evening of laughs takes place on Saturday, April 15 at LTCC, located at 2460 Paris Ave. in Trevose, Pa. Doors swing open at 6:15 p.m., and the wisecracks start popping at 7 p.m.

Tickets are only $20 and can be purchased in advance and on the day of the event at the church. They can also be purchased via Eventbrite (search for LTCC: A Night of Laughter). Seating is limited, so it’s best to get your tickets early. All ages are welcomed.
