Meet Max And Rico: Bensalem Police's New K-9 Dogs
The two police dogs and their Bensalem officers completed 14 weeks of training at the Philadelphia Police Canine Training Center.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Meet Max and Rico.
The Bensalem Township Police Department said Monday that Officer Thomas Martinka with K-9 Rico and Officer Dylan Gallagher with K-9 Max successfully graduated their 14-week patrol school at the Philadelphia Police Canine Training Center.
The department said that both K-9 Teams will undergo a few weeks of in-house training prior to their reassignment with the Patrol Division.

K-9 Rico is a 1-year-old Belgian Malinois and K-9 Max is a 1-year-old Dutch Shepherd.
"We would like to congratulate Officer Martinka and Officer Gallagher and we look forward to seeing Rico and Max track and apprehend criminals for many years to come," the police department said.
