Meet Persephone: Lower Bucks County's Shelter Pet Of The Week

Editor's Note: This is a weekly series featuring pets up for adoption from the Women's Animal Center in Bensalem Township.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Meet Persephone.

Persephone is an eight-year-old and gloriously plush 17-pound calico cat.

She is sweet, affectionate and loving and is most happy when humans shower her with lots of attention and head scratches. Persephone enjoys a cozy place to lounge.

She is warm, charming and despite her name, this Queen enjoys reigning over a sunny windowsill, a soft bed, or the spot beside her favorite person.

At the age of eight, she is confident and has left her kitten ways behind and is ready to bring a whole lot of calico personality into her new home.
