Missing Man, 72, Found Dead In Neshaminy Creek
Joseph Verni was reported missing in Falls Township last Monday. He was found dead in Neshaminy Creek.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A 72-year-old man reported missing in Falls Township has been found dead in Neshaminy Creek, police said.
Falls Township Police had reported Joseph Verni of Fairless Hills last Monday. Police said that he was driving a 2012 white Honda Fit bearing PA Registration MLG5191.
Bensalem Police responded Thursday to a report of a juvenile finding a body in the Neshaminy Creek while fishing in Newport Park off of Bensalem Boulevard.

Upon arrival, police found a deceased man face down in Neshaminy Creek, a few feet off of the shoreline.
The man had a set of car keys in his back pocket. Officers checked the parking lot and discovered that the keys matched a white Honda Fit, police said.

The registration was returned to Verni. The registration and Verni had been entered into NCIC as a missing suicidal subject.
There were no signs of trauma or foul play, police said.
The body was turned over to the Bucks County Coroner’s Office for determination of cause and manner of death. Verni’s family was notified.
