Mobile Home Fire Under Investigation In Bensalem

Bensalem Fire Police said a fire Friday night caused "significant" damage to a home in the Penn Valley Trailer Park.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A fire that ripped through a mobile home Friday night is under investigation, fire officials said.

Bensalem Fire Rescue investigators responded to the Penn Valley Trailer Park off Old Lincoln Highway around 7:45 p.m. Friday to conduct an origin and cause fire investigation.

Fire crews arrived on the scene and reported heavy fire showing from a mobile home.

The occupant was able to safely evacuate, but the home sustained significant fire and smoke damage. A neighboring mobile home also sustained heat damage, Bensalem Fire Rescue said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and the Red Cross responded to assist the occupants.

The Trevose Fire Company helped place the fire under control and was on the scene for extended service.

The Southampton Fire Company's Rescue 2 was dispatched as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) on the working fire dispatch with the Trevose Fire Company Station 4/84 in the Penn Valley community. The crew conducted RIT operations and assisted with overhaul.
