More Than $40K Raised For Cat Condos At Women's Animal Center
The Bensalem Township animal shelter is near a $50,000 goal to provide new cat housing in the center's adoption room.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The cats living in the Women's Animal Center are nearing a housing upgrade.
Women’s Animal Center is trying to raise $50,000 to support the purchase of new cat housing in the center’s adoption room, which will improve health and adaptability outcomes for felines in the organization’s care.
"We're over $40,000 now," said Karen D. Lash, director of development and marketing at the Women’s Animal Center at 3839 Richlieu Rd. "We’re hopeful to cross the finish line."

America’s First Animal Shelter said its Housing Matters for Shelter Cats campaign as we’re fundraising to upgrade all of the cat housing in the adoption center with new habitats to improve comfort, health, and well-being for the shelter cats waiting for their forever homes.
The Bucks County Foundation, a charitable trust created to serve Bucks County, had awarded the animal center with a $10,000 grant to support the upgrade and purchase of new cat condos.

Meanwhile, the animal center found 18 forever homes for shelter pets at its Aug 26 Clear the Shelters Day. The month of August also saw the adoption of 93 shelter pets into loving forever homes.
