Multiple Lane Closures On U.S. 1 In Lower Bucks Set Next Week
Traveling on U.S. 1 in Lower Bucks County at night could be a tricky proposition starting next week.
BENSALEM, PA — Traveling on U.S. 1 in Lower Bucks County at night could be a tricky proposition starting next week.
Lanes will be closed in the evening and overnight hours for a variety of roadwork projects in Bensalem and Middletown townships and Penndel Borough, PennDOT announced on Thursday.
Lanes on U.S. 1 will be restricted at two spots on Sunday, April 28, through Friday, May 10 from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. Those closures will be fore milling operations, part of a project to repair and resurface 44 miles of state highway in Bucks County. They are:

- U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) between Durham Road and Flowers Mill Road in Middletown
- U.S. 1 between Neshaminy Street and Bucks Town Road in Middletown and Penndel
Meanwhile, there will again be lane closures on U.S. 1 and Street Road for construction to widen and rebuild the highway and interchange there in Bensalem.
On Monday, April 29, through Saturday, May 4, northbound and southbound U.S. 1 will be reduced to a single lane between Rockhill Drive and Old Lincoln Highway. That will be between 8 p.m.-6 a.m.

That project is part of work to rebuild, widen and improve U.S. 1 along a four-mile corridor from just north of Philadelphia to just north of Rt. 413 (Pine Street) in Middletown and Langhorne.
