NATO Medal Recipient And Marine Joins Bensalem Police Department
New Bensalem Township Police Officer Daniel Meade served in Philadelphia for the past five years. He also did a tour of duty in Afghanistan.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bensalem Township Department has a new officer.
Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo, Councilwoman Michelle Benitez and Director William McVey announced Tuesday that the township has hired Daniel Meade as its newest police officer.
Meade had served as a member of the Philadelphia Police Department for the past five years, township officials said.

Meade served in the U.S. Marine Corps for seven years, did a tour in Afghanistan and is also the recipient of the NATO Meritorious Service Medal.
He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 2021.

"The Bensalem Township Police Department is proud to add Officer Meade to our family," the mayor and officials said in their announcement. "Please help us welcome and congratulate him for his service to our country and his commitment to the safety and security of the residents of Bensalem Township."
