BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Bensalem Township Parks and Recreation is introducing a new outdoor field hockey program which will be held this summer at the Bensalem Community Park hockey rink.

The program is open to girls grades K through 10th and designed to enhance skills for those already playing or interested in playing “indoor field hockey.” parks and recreation officials said.

Although participants will be playing in an outdoor rink, this version of field hockey will simulate “indoor” field hockey.

Athletes will learn vital skills needed to excel in the sport of field hockey such as dribbling, passing, and shooting.

The camp will introduce girls to a faster-paced game with increased dribbling, passing, and shooting as well as a whole lot of fun while fine-tuning skills for those girls who are preparing to play field hockey for fall school teams or clubs.
