Next Week's Street Road, U.S. 1 Closures Announced
The work to rebuild, improve and widen a 1.3-mile section of U.S. 1 continues next week in Bensalem.
BENSALEM, PA — Overnight lane closures are scheduled once again next week for the construction going on around U.S. 1 and Street Road in Bensalem.
The work is part of a project to rebuild, widen and improve a 1.3-mile section of the highway in Bensalem.
From Sunday, July 14, through Friday, July 19, alternating northbound and southbound lanes will be closed on U.S. 1 from Rockhill Drive to Old Lincoln Highway. Those closures will be from 8 p.m.-6 a.m. the following morning.

During those same dates and times, alternating eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed on Street Road (Rt. 132) between Old Lincoln Highway and Kingston Way.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zones because backups and slowdowns are expected to occur. All work is weather dependent.
