Township Solicitor Joseph Pizzo said at a recent meeting that the township's administration received the request due to issues with traffic and hazards.
He said there have been complaints about vehicles getting through the street safely and the parking of vehicles causing the view of traffic to be obstructed.

"Trucks and cars parking along the street are making turns difficult and reducing the road to one lane," Pizzo said.
He said that delivery trucks are not able to get to properties either.
Pizzo said a traffic safety analysis was conducted with the police department recommending that parking be prohibited on both sides.

The council recognized students who were winners of the police department's D.A.R.E poster contest Winners.
Detective Brian Oliverio told the council that nine elementary schools participated in a 10-week program for essays and posters. He was joined by Detective Carrie Palmer.
He said the program has been going on for at least 16 years and is funded by the Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board.
The five instructors reviewed more than 120 submissions and 100 posters.
"It's tough to choose," Oliverio said. "This is the hardest contest because they're all outstanding."
