It would not be a good time to be without power. Temperatures are supposed to plummet Thursday and stay frigid through the weekend. The low temperature on Saturday night will get below zero, forecasters predict.
A Wind Chill Advisory is in place on Jan. 5 and Jan. 6. That means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. "Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves," the National Weather Service says.
