BENSALEM, PA — Police in Bensalem are warning the public about a phone scam making the rounds.
As part of the scam, police say, impersonators claim to be officers with the police department. After claiming to be police, the caller demands money be sent to them, threatening the victim with arrest if they don't send the money.
Police say that, if you receive a call like this, you should not give the caller any personal information. Instead, they say, you should call the Bensalem Police Department at 215-633-3719 and file a report.
