Police Presence, Reduced Hours At Neshaminy Mall Carnival
Bensalem Township Police have made safety changes after a "night of unacceptable activity" last week.

BENSALEM, PA —The carnival came to town Thursday but the fun was not acceptable to the Bensalem Township Police Department.
Bensalem Township Police have instituted safety changes at the Neshaminy Mall Carnival after a "night of unacceptable activity" on and around carnival grounds. Police did not detail what the activity entailed.
The changes are as follows:

- ALL juveniles under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian that is 21 years of age or older. No exceptions.
- There will be an increased presence of Bensalem police officers and carnival security for the remainder of the time the carnival is in town.
- A single entrance has been established.
- All guests ages 18 and older should be prepared to show valid identification (with picture and date of birth) such as a driver’s license, state identification card, military ID, passport, or visa. Failure to comply may result in removal from the premises.
- The carnival will now close at 10 p.m. each night of the week.
Bensalem Police said there will be a zero tolerance policy as it relates to the criminal activity of juveniles and adults who attend this year's carnival at Neshaminy Mall.
These changes have been made so that everyone who attends this year's carnival can have a good time and enjoy themselves.

Carnival hours are:
- Monday, May 15 —4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Tuesday, May 16 —1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 17 —4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Thursday, May 18 —4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday, May 19 — 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Saturday, May 20 —Noon to 10 p.m.
- Sunday, May 21 —Noon to 10 p.m.
