Popular Bucks County Foodie Event Set For June 10
The Tyler Tasting Party will feature food and drinks from 30 area establishments. It will be held June 10 at BCCC's Newtown Campus.

A local favorite foodie event is coming up in just a few weeks.
The 28th annual Tyler Tasting Party will be held at Bucks County Community College's Newtown campus on Friday, June 10.
The event, which offers guests the chance to try a variety of food and drinks from local establishments, will this year also include a juried art show and dueling pianos.

The event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. and raises money for scholarships at Bucks County Community College.
More than 30 area establishments are expected at this years event. They will serve samples at the 86-year-old Tyler Mansion and formal gardens.

This year, new participants include: Hewn Spirits, Zest Culinary Services, and the King George Inn, joining returning participants such as Piccolo Trattoria, Buckingham Valley Vineyards, and the Goodnoe Dairy Farm.
Also that evening, the Bucks County Plein Air Festival will present awards in a special tent in the gardens. Artwork by 50 renowned local and national artists will be available for purchase.
Guests can bid in an online auction beginning May 27. Online bidding will close on June 9 and will reopen as a silent auction under the main tent the night of the event.
The event raises funds for historic preservation scholarships and the restoration of Tyler Hall.
The 60-room mansion, the former home of banker George F. Tyler and his wife Stella Elkins Tyler, became the cornerstone of Bucks County Community College when it opened in 1965. It is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
To date, the Tyler Tasting Party has raised more than a half-million dollars for restoration projects and scholarships, according to information from the college.
Tickets to the event are $125 each; purchase five tickets and get the sixth free.
