The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire over the weekend at

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Residents of a township apartment complex were displaced during a fire over the weekend, fire officials said.

The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department responded at 2:56 p.m. Saturday to the Colonial Point Apartments for a reported apartment fire.

Fire officials reported light smoke from a 3-story apartment building.

Fire crews found fire in the bathroom ceiling of a basement apartment, extending to the second and third floors.

Fire officials said no injuries were reported to residents or fire service members.

The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by the Penndel Volunteer Fire Company #1, Station 8, Feasterville Fire Company, and Bensalem EMS.

The apartment complex is assisting residents with living accommodations.
