Road Closure To Last 4 Months In Bensalem

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Township officials have announced that a road project starting next month will lead to detours for residents and motorists for four months.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has advised officials that Aqua Pennsylvania will begin utility improvements starting Tuesday, Oct. 1, and lasting through Friday, Jan. 31, 2025.

PennDOT said that from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Dunksferry Road/Brown Avenue will be closed and detoured on weekdays between Knights Road and Route 513 (Hulmeville Road).

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Knights Road, Route 132 (Street Road), and Route 513 (Hulmeville Road).
