Rosa Marie Munford, 81, cherished her family and church

Trevose, Pa. - Surrounded by her beloved four daughters, Rosa Marie (Taylor) Munford, 81, passed away peacefully on Jan. 16 at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, Pa. She was born in Florence, S.C., on Aug. 25, 1941 to Elijah Taylor, Sr. and Lessie (Wilson) Taylor. She was the fourth of 13 children.

The longtime Bucks County resident worked for over 20 years in housekeeping at Radisson Hotel here, receiving plenty of recognition and awards for her hard work and dedication. But most notably, she sacrificed and devoted her life to her family and church. Rosa and her husband made sure their four girls had everything they needed and wanted and were blessed to see all of them graduate from college. As a member of Linconia Tabernacle Christian Center in Trevose for over 50 years, she faithfully served as a deaconess, missionary, Sunday School teacher, pastor’s aide, and choir member.

Rosa now has her wings and can once again hug her husband Matthew Drenon Munford, who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish: four daughters, Dawn, Hope, Angel, and Faith; one son-in-law, Dwayne; three grandchildren, Darius, Mia, and Jacob; and a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family members and friends.

A public viewing is planned from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Jan. 27 at Linconia Tabernacle Christian Center. Her burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 28 at Sunset Memorial Park in Hunterdon Valley, Pa.
