Scouts from Washington Crossing Council Attend Scout Mass at Cathedral Basilica of SS Peter and Paul

Boy scouts and cub scouts from Washington Crossing Council participated in the Scout Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of SS Peter and Paul on April 22nd. The annual event is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Committee on Scouting. His Excellency Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. celebrated the mass at which the scouts were presented with the religious emblems they have earned and adult leaders were recognized for their contributions to the scouting program.

Cub scouts who were presented with the Light of Christ Emblem include Connor Dous, Maddox Earlly, Joe Amcio and Sawyer Roberts from Pack 36 which is chartered by Lenape Valley Church; Bill Lahr, Ben Broadhead, Kase Fenimore, Augusto Nappi, Ryan Gulbinski, Caeden Foster, Luke Touhill and Liam Wilson from Pack 52 which is chartered by Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church; Noah Witner from Pack 128 which is chartered by St. Ephrem Catholic Church; Anthony Seiberlich, Gregory Winters and Sean Winters from Pack 132 which is chartered by St. Charles Borromea Catholic Church; Jacob Hackman and Jonathan Hackman from Pack 144 which is chartered by Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church; and Daniel Beacham, Andrew Kempf, Colin Moore, Jonathan Kuryluk, Augustine Persing, Christopher Rieder, Matthew Rieder, Jacob Strader, Cole Tomolonis and Dominic Langone from Pack 380 which is chartered by St. Andrew Catholic Church.

The Parvuli Dei Emblem was presented to George Dous and Francis Grasso from Pack 36; Vincent DiGiorolamo from Pack 128; Lukas Coppolino, Lorenzo Covello, Bobby Klein, Casey Marino, Chase Marino, Xander Marino, Steven Simon and Christian Sirracuse from Pack 132; Kyle Kershaw, Christopher Reed, Charles King, Matthew Musitano, Jarret Mott, Joshua Stanbro and Michael Bender from Pack 199 which is chartered by St. Agnes & Sacred Heart CYO; and James Bayer, Nolan Bazydola, John Beacham, Alexander Bullock, Lucas Dolan, Gerard Hehir, Nicholas Rieder, Nathan Stankus and Anthony Langone from Pack 380.

Boy scouts who were presented with the Ad Altare Dei Emblem are Brady Reiner, Jack Weldon and Patrick Hood from Troop 6 which is chartered by Doylestown United Methodist Church; Christopher Adams, Will Beacham, Brady Burgfechtel, Anthony Capetta, Chris Conboy, Christopher Gasiewski, David kunz, Stephen Phillips, Matthew Simms and Frank Zinc from Troop 29 which is chartered by Lutheran Church of God’s Love; Adam Nadari from Troop 52; Cody Kulik from Troop 34 which is chartered by American Legion New Hope Post #79; Timothy Grindle and Matthew Grindle from Troop 67 which is chartered by the Hilltown Civic Association; and Eric Rodgers and Shea Grourke from Troop 187 which is chartered by the VFW Forest Lodge #245.

Pack 380 was awarded the Archdiocese Catholic Committee on Scouting’s Cardinal Krol Unit Award and the National Catholic Committee on Scouting’s Pope Paul VI Unit Award.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Committee on Scouting also recognized adult volunteers in the scouting program. The St. John Neumann Emblem was given to Lou Chiarlanza and David O’Neill. David White was awarded the St. George Emblem. The Meritorious Service Award was given to Norbert Sonnie and Mark Wassum.
