Second Time Is the Charm for Tamanend District Swimoree
Tamanend District boy scouts and cub scouts enjoy a successful Swimoree at BCCC.
After a violent thunderstorm shut down their first attempt, more than 75 scouts,
parents, and adult leaders from the Tamanend District held a successful
Swimoree at Bucks County Community College’s Newtown Campus. The annual event,
which was coordinated under the leadership event chairman Jamie Gottshall, took
place in March 25, 2017.
Scouts enjoyed a full evening testing their skills, teamwork, and scouting spirit in a
wide variety of competitions and events. Swimoree is a great way for the
scouts to get out during the cold winter months and get prepared for summer
camps by competing in the event.
