Seeing Stars in Bensalem
Martin Sheen, Emilio Estevez bring out huge crowd to Walmart as they promote film
Hundreds of folks found The Way to a long line at the Wal Mart store on Horizon Boulevard on Monday night.
At the end of that line were two men best known as a president and a Mighty Duck.
Hollywood stars and father and son Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez brought their cross-country bus tour to Bensalem to promote “The Way,” a movie written and directed by Estevez and starring both veteran actors. The movie will open Friday at AMC Neshaminy 24.

It is the story of a California doctor who travels to France to collect the remains of his son who was killed in a storm in the Pyrenees while hiking the Camino de Santiago, also known as The Way of Saint James. Rather than return home, the doctor honors his son's wish to finish the hiking journey.
Some area residents showed up in the early afternoon to be in the front of a line that eventually stretched the depth of the store inside and outside.

“I've been here since around noon. They're worth the wait. I've enjoyed their work, from 'Badlands' to President Bartlet (of the 'West Wing' TV series),'' said Denise Kremer of Northeast Philly in a reference to two of Sheen's roles.
Ann Howard of Yardley arrived around 2:30 pm.
“I saw the movie in L.A. While I was attending a convention. I thought it was really, really good,” she said. “I wanted to get some pictures of them.”
Ingrid, Ron and Sabrina Moyer of Newtown said they were looking forward to seeing the movie after getting their free movie posters signed by the father and son team, who began their tour the last week of August.
With their big bus sitting out front, Sheen and Estevez had entered the store from the rear after taking photos with employees.
Store manager Frank Nardone said the store hadn't seen such excitement since singer Ashlee Simpson visited last winter.
“It's great for the store,” he said. “It lets people know we're here.”
