Sexual Solicitation Of Boy Leads to Arrest In Bensalem: Police
A Trevose man faces sexual assault charges after trying to meet with a 12-year-old at the Neshaminy Mall, Bensalem Township Police said.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A Trevose man has been charged with numerous crimes related to the sexual assault of a 12-year-old boy he wanted to meet at the Neshaminy Mall, police said.
Gerald Malloy of Poplar Road was taken into custody at 7:30 p.m. Thursday by Bensalem Township Police when he arrived at the Neshaminy Mall for what he believed to be a meeting for a sexual encounter with the boy, police said.
Malloy was on a dating app when he solicited the boy for the encounter. Police said he sent sexually explicit photographs to the child and asked for the same type of photographs in return.

He then continued the conversation via text and set up the meeting. Police said Malloy was very explicit as to what he wanted to do sexually to the child once they met.
Bensalem Police stressed that no child was physically assaulted or present at the time of Malloy's arrest.

Malloy was charged with: involuntary deviant sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact or communication with a minor, statutory sexual assault, photograph or film sexual act with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, obscene and other sexual materials and performances, corruption of minors, criminal use of a communication facility and indecent assault with a child.
Malloy was arraigned by District Justice Baranoski and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $500,000 bail.
Other conditions of bail were that Malloy was not to have any unsupervised contact with minors or unsupervised use of the internet.
