The Sherwood Brothers celebrate the release of their CD "Pieces of You and Me"

Philly’s best acoustic band, the Sherwood Brothers, invite you to celebrate the release of their debut CD entitled Pieces of You and Me at a special record release show at the James A. Michener Art Museum on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017.

The six-piece country alt-rock band are rolling with the momentum of their sold-out Christmas show at the Ardmore Music Hall. 2016 was quite busy with the band entertaining music fans at the Jersey Shore, Maryland, Delaware and the Philadelphia region.

“I think our fans will hear our hearts and souls that we poured into this album,” said frontman and guitarist Darryl Sherwood.

Pieces of You and Me is a 12-track album that highlights the band members’ four-part harmony and clever instrumentations of mandolins, violins and rock ‘n’ roll rhythm sections. The band fuses a range of musical influences from Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings to Dave Matthews and Rush. The result is a mix of music that just works. To boot, the band’s live shows are full of energy and passion, and should not be missed!

Darryl Sherwood leads the band with his brother Dennis (guitar and vocals) and Neal Petti (mandolin, guitar and vocals). The band is rounded out by Shelley Beard Santore (violinist), Paul Bagnell (drums and vocals) and Ed Paone (bass).

The band members have enjoyed success individually with other Philadelphia rock bands over the years, but this lineup performing together has an energy, chemistry and vibe that is the musical version of “special sauce.”
