Shooting At Bensalem Township Trailer Park: Authorities

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A person has been shot in a trailer park off Gibson Road, according to published reports and police.

The shooting took place just before 5 p.m. Friday at the Top of the Ridge Trailer Park, according to Delaware Valley News.com. The story stated that Bensalem Township Police had set up a crime scene at the trailer park.

There was no information about any victims or suspects.

Calls and messages to the Bensalem Township Police for information were not returned. Bensalem Fire Rescue said any information about the shooting would have to be provided by the police department.

A dispatcher said Detective Sgt. Glenn Vandegrift could not come to the phone because he was involved at that moment with the investigation.

Residents on the FYI Bensalem Facebook page reported seeing police cars around the trailer park Friday afternoon. Several stated that someone headed into the woods where police pursued with guns and dogs, surrounding the woods until the suspect was caught.
